Here are some of players from Galicia that have been successful at top level football out of Galicia:

Luis Suarez (1935 – 2023) the oldest one and the only Spanish player that have been awarded a Golden Ball by FIFA.

Starting at Deportivo de La Coruña and going on to play for Barcelona, Sampedoria, Inter de Milan and the Spanish National Team.

Iago Aspas is the main star who comes out of a small vilage called Moaña, which is on the other side of the river, in front of Vigo.

He came through the Celta de Vigo youth system and went on to play for Liverpool and the National team.
